We had a Jack Russel, which after numerous complaints from our neighbours, we handed over to the SPCA in Stilfontein to find a home for her. we had her for just over 3 years. Everytime we went away our live in maid looked after her, the complaints ranged from permanent barking (she only barked when there was someone in the street or another animal), when she went on heat, we were reported to the spca due to the stray dogs wandering about (our walls are 6 feet high and she could not get out), we had her spayed once she was off-heat. Even Suzette at the Stilfontein SPCA concluded it was a neighbour dispute and they were looking for reason to complain. Our neighbours daughter also happens to work at SPCA Stilfontein (Melinda Hughes). When we took our dog in (11 February 2013), we were told that there was someone interested in the dog. Last week we received a letter in the postbox from our neighbour informing us that the dog had been put out, due to aggrssion that she was an alone dog and that we were totally to blame. This really upset my 5 month pregnant wife. How could MELINDA HUGHES have disclosed this info on to her parents, knowing well that there is neighbour conflict!
