I usually buy cakes that are made by Zounes Cakes from a supermarket nearby quite reguarly because I really enjoy it. On this occassion, I bought a chocolate cake made by Zounes Cakes and as I took my first bite found a strand of something that looks like hair or an extension of some sort. Really disgusted by this, I told my husband about it and he logged a complaint to Zounes Cakes about it. We then received a call from a representative (Gilbert) from Zounes regarding my complaint and apologised for the incident and bragged about the hygiene practice in his company. He then said that we should refridgerate the cake and he would send a driver around to fetch this one and replace it with another. It has been two weeks since the complaint and promises from Gilbert and no such thing has been done.
Its a pity that we have to take these measures to get answers and to Zounes... you have lost a very loyal customer.
