My D800 was sent 3 times to Nikon for repair without any success. They agreed to replace the body but I was informed that they do not have stock. As disappointed as I already was, they took it a step further. Yes, they agreed to provide me with a load unit on Friday the 15th of February 2013. This was NEVER delivered. I had to cancel my photo-shoot which was scheduled for today (16 February 2013).
Nikon simply cannot deliver a quality pro service to a pro user, and they proofed it to me.
I used to shoot with Canon for many years and after about a year's investigation found that Nikon can deliver more and they are able to exceed customer expectations. I am really disappointed to only find out today that this was not true, after spending more than R120000 on Nikon equipment.
I so wanted to buy the D4, but luckily I did not! Can you imagine how disappointed I would have been after spending R60000 on a camera body with this type for service.
