First Car Rental
What is the real difference between Group A, GroupB

Good day First Car Rental

I have a great concern and would like to know how First Car Rental classifies their Group A and Group B cars. On the day of our booking I specified for a Group B car, which showed the 1.4 Ford Figo, and in fine print stated *or similar. On the day of pick up, 7th January 2013 I received the keys to Nissan Micra. I had no problem whatsoever, how ever the car lacked in a bit of performance in the Cape. Upon inspection at home I realized we had the 1.2 Micra. I am utterly disgusted in this. Last year also in the Cape we had the 1.4 Opel Corsa. What a pleasure it was driving that car. This year it was a mission driving around. I did some research and concluded that Nissan Micra has 54kw and 104nm for a Group B car and where as the Ford Figo has 62kw and 127nm and Opel Corsa has 74kw and 130nm. How does the Nissan Micra fit in this class with the small engine and reduced kw and nm? I am not happy with the service from the Bellville branch as well. We called to extend the car for one more day. On the day I got a rude call from Judith telling me that we need to return the car immediately. This is pathetic and I want to know how this will be sorted out!
