My family and I reserved for Christmas lunch at The House of Ribs, upon making our reservation the Manager Johan informed us that the Christmas lunch was set at R150-00 per person and politely asked us to pay a 50% deposit to secure the reservation. I must admit i was a bit taken aback at the amount per head as it differs from what they normally charge, but we made our reservation.
Upon arriving at the restaurant for the 11;30 sitting on Christmas day, Johan was at the reception and greeted us politely, asked for our name and promptly seated us. The restaurant was buzzing with conversation, and a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered our drinks, received our Buffet tickets and stood in the line to dish up, and to my surprise there was a wonderful variety to choose from - all the Christmas delights that you would expect on Christmas day. We enjoyed our meal, popped our crackers, enjoyed our mince pies and when we paid my family and i each received a bottle of sparkling wine (adults of course)
All in all a wonderful meal and humble service!
