I sent an email on the 30 October 2013 to cancel my application for a loan with Loans Connect (this was still in the initial stages of the application) to Pearl Pillay. I NEVER received a reply or call from any Loans Connect employee to confirm my cancellation. Due to no reply from Loans Connect, it was clear that my application is cancelled and in support, I have not filled out or signed any document from Loans Connect which I refused to sign anyway.
I received a sms today stating: "Dear Client, A debit order of R399... account today... Loans connect."
I tried phoning Loans Connect then - could not get through, the same situation today. After about 14 disconnections I eventually got through to Neville at accounts. He could not help, but to tell me I owe R399 and I must phone again and press "1" for "Debit Orders" I informed him of my cancellation and should not even have an account. He and I end up debating, because he did not let me explain. I disconnected the phone due to his attitude and the anger I felt for the poor treatment I received.
Do not even consider using Loans Connect, they appear like Vultures waiting and sneaky like snakes, they do not really help!
