The service of Standard bank is a joke. I have been trying now for months to change my address at Standard bank. Dec 2012 I asked for a bank printout with a stamp to show it is changed which I received. So Saturday I tried so open a new chq account due to stealers and there debit order on my account. I was informed it's the old address AGAIN. I had some words with the lady and left. Every time they use the excuse the documentation have not been scanned in. How long does it take 6 months. So with the people money out of my account and Standard bank just saying reverse the money. Any way this morning I phoned the call centre want to reverse yet another debit order from the stealers. The person on the other end inform me the address supplied are incorrect. I lost it. Last week Thursday the address was correct then all of a sudden from Saturday it have changed. What must you actually do to get the address correct if they work of one system which i do not believe who if playing on their systems so that the old personal details come back. I am at stage where I just want to close my account. Sure other banks can give you better service or some service. Discussed with SB
