I logged the below complaint with Cell C on 30/8/2013 and have had no response.
I have received a horrible letter from J.M. Attorneys informing me that I owe Cell C R774.26 from an old account that was supposed to be closed in November 2011. In November 2011 my then contract with Cell C was supposed to be closed as I gave 3 months, written notice requesting said closure. This was never acted upon and unfortunately the account remained open causing additional monthly fees. After then being handed over to your legal department and contacted by VVM Attorneys, I paid the outstanding amount to avoid any legal dispute or action. I have confirmation of this payment which I made on the 25th January 2012. I also contacted your call centre and I was advised that my contract with Cell C was closed and there was no outstanding balance. In July this year, JM Attorneys sent a letter to my postal address threatening the attachment of my house over the unpaid Cell C amount for R774.26. I did not receive any correspondence from either Cell C or J.M. Attorneys from January 2012 until July 2013.
