On Sunday, 7. April. 2013, I was travelling back to Johannesburg with the couple. We stopped at Spar at Cholchester area in Port Elizabeth, to buy food for the road. I bought lamb curry, rice and vegetables and the couple also bought food.
The food had expired we could feel its taste when we were eating, especially the lamb curry. As a result of that food we all three of us suffered from stomach ache and diarrhea. We had to stop throughout our journey to relieve ourselves and frequented the toilet throughout the night.
I is surprising and unbecoming of a store as big as SPAR to sell old food, leftovers to its customers. I believe everybody who bought food from SPAR yesterday suffered from the same illness, stomach ache and diarreah
we experienced.
As a result I will never buy food from any SPAR shop again.
