I am currently in USA, and have been since December 2012. My Edgars account had been paid off in full prior to my departure, and my card is in my possession.
However, in April I received a statement from Edgars reflecting that purchases to the value of R7, 348.86 had been made onto my account!
I have been trying since then to clear this off my account.
I have sent messages and completed claims forms to their Accounts and Customer Services departments, but still no action and I have not even received a reply to my latest e-mails. Edgars has now listed me as a slow payer and threatening me with legal action if payment is not received!
I do not seem to get any positive response from them!
This is ruining my credit record and causing me a great deal of embarrassment as Edgars claims department continue to phone my friends and family in order to try claim payment.
I need for my account to be cleared and the account closed immediately. I also need my credit record to be restored.
