On the 24th of August 2012 UNISA sent me an email stating that if I do not meet the requirements I won't be allowed to register. I checked the current online brochure at the time and found no reason for me not to be accepted. UNISA then requested that I fax my qualification to the Nation Department of Education along with my complete certified academic records, which I did. On the 30th of November 2012 UNISA sent me a letter stating that my application has been processed for the qualification I applied for. UNISA gave me a student number (53402456) and said I should register as soon as possible. I completed my registration on the 12th of January 2013 and paid R8440 towards my first year of studies. On the 22nd of February 2012 UNISA then informed me that my application was unsuccessful. I then received an email stating that in order to qualify for admission towards this qualification I need to pass certain school subjects and apply for addition non-degree purpose subjects.
