I took out Medipet pet insurance for my cat quite a few months back. I neglected to notice that the debit order had not been actioned. Medipet's client service representative Nicole Finlay contacted me to clarify the details. I thought that would solve the issue. A few weeks on and my cat Gracie took ill and had several and very expensive treatments at two veterinary clinics. Unfortunately she didn't make it through the operations.
I checked again and the debit orders still had not gone through, but Nicole assured me it would not be a problem and that she would follow it up with their admin department. It still didn't seem to help, so Nicole very politely and proactively gave me the option to pay up the previous debit orders, so that my claims could be processed. This was actioned and my claims successfully refunded without a long delay. I would like to compliment Nicole on her caring, polite and proactive way she corresponded with me to resolve these issues.
Also thanks to Medipet who on seeing the large claims come through could have rejected them based on the fact the debit orders had not been paid, but still honoured the contract once I had rectified the situation.
