I had accounts with Standard Bank many years ago, i suffered a pay cut at work and was forced to go under administration in order to pay my accounts. Many years after i have finally finished paying off all my accounts and my Admin order has been removed (meaning that all accounts have been paid up to date) Standard Bank now claims i owe them double of what i initially did and have me listed on the credit bureau. I have been requesting since March for them to send me proof of this money being owed to them in the form of a detailed statement as the documentation i have from the court and my administrators shows that all my debt has been paid. This incident has my life on hold as i am now listed on the credit bureau and Standard Bank refuse to give me any type of feedback. This is so unfair on me, after doing the right thing and paying my accounts i am now STILL NOT ABLE to do anything with my life because of this money i supposedly owe Standard Bank. I am in the process of trying to figure out how to lay a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman and getting in contact with my lawyers for assistance in this matter.
