Good day
Ouf of all the standard bank branches in Newcastle, only one has tellers. Out of the 9 tellers built, only one had a person manning it. therefore there was only one teller available to service the entire newcastle. this was on the first friday of the month and the bank was extremely busy (que was out the door). the floor manager was no where to be seen to recitfy this problem, and I do not understand how this is possible with south africa's unemployment rate. Does standard bank not care about their customer service or how long it takes to service them? Does standard bank not care about creating jobs by filling their vacant tellers? Do we just have to accept the fact that standard bank does not care about customer waiting time? Or the elderly that now have to wait hours to pay an account? I can understand few tellers being available in the event that everyone has internet or cellphone banking, and that this service is made available to them, but our economy does not allow everyone to have such privelages.
