I was overcharged for a Goodyear Wrangler tyre 245 75 R17, I feel that the supplier took advantage of my situation. The tyre had to be replaced while I was passing through Kimberley enroute to Cape Town. This supplier knew that they were the only tyre shop with this scarce, odd size tyre. Today I had to replace yet another tyre but this time in Randfontein at Lombard tyres. Lombard tyres invoiced me R3306.14 without even negotiating for a discount, versus Tiger Wheel and Tyre R4644.74 (invoice K0181799) both prices excluding vat.
The price originally quoted by TW&T were R6500 incl vat.
