Regrettably researched him on this website after we got stung.
His modus operandi is consistent: Gives a low/favourable quote, builds in an upfront deposit. Works impressively for the first two days then claims a hefty progress payment (as tendered). Once he is nicely cash positive things turn around - don't see him for days, hear all the excuses for not pitching, when he does the quality of work drops markedly. Four weeks down the line of a 3 week job he hadn't done 1/3 of the work and most of it. He is obviously waiting for you to fire him and appears quite relieved when you eventually do.
Please be aware that he's not a builder, just a petty conman
