I purchased a spa voucher from Groupon as a Christmas gift only to have the supplier go out of business. Trying to get a refund from Groupon has been excruciatingly frustrating. I've have amongst other things been told that my request had been sent to the "wrong" department/email address; that it had not yet been processed (two weeks after having it sent to the correct dept) as there was no record of it; and most recently (another two weeks later) that they did not have my banking details which I had needed to send them in an email??? The links to follow up on my request that I received per email were broken, the email requesting banking details was attached to the end of another email and not seen. At no time was I told that I needed to supply my banking details. The call centre operators are rude and unhelpful. All in all a VERY distasteful experience. It will take something drastic for me to recommend Groupon to someone else.
