I have complained a few times in the past few months with regards to the signal that I'm getting on all my Cell C connected devices. I have 2 voice contracts with iPhones and a data contract that I am using with my iPad. Most of the day I am without signal on my phones, meaning I can only make or receive calls when there is a chance of me getting signal. Why do I have cell phones if I cannot be contacted on them??? Previously when I called the help desk the technician told me to manually set my devices to the Vodacom network.???
This helped... barely! When I get a bit of signal, it is always on EDGE. I did not pay a premium to get a smart phone and use it on an EDGE network! Even browsing the internet when on EDGE is painful. 5 other Cell C clients sitting with me in the same office experience the same problems. Vodacom subscribers at my office and ALL have excellent 3G signal.
I have similar problems when trying to use the data on my iPad. I give a about Cell C's spat with Vodacom not meeting their agreement. My contract is for a service from Cell C, & I expect the service that I am paying for! As per CPA I want to cancel all contracts if this is not resolved!
