Photographer Desiree Moila of Johannesburg, had promised to be present for my wedding as a photographer. A full payment of R2000 was made prior to the event, as agreed upon. She also stated that she would make use of a cam cord for video purposes. On the day of the wedding she claimed to have car problems, and was unavailable for majority of the outdoor pictures, pertaining to family relatives, the procession of cars, the groomsmen and bridesmaids, as she chose to attend to her car. We were late as a result, while waiting on her. She was also unavailable for the duration of the reception. I approached her about it after the wedding, with the notion that we could look at what she had covered first, and then discuss where I could be refunded. Her response was very negative, and personal. She proceeded to insult me, my partner and our wedding ceremony, she also denied having offered to make use of a cam cord. She refused to discuss any refund, or to meet. She further made threats of a restraining order. I found her attitude extremely unapproachable, and unprofessional. Even worse than the blatant refusal to discuss the issue, was her rude and belittling response.
