We put a deposit of R15 286.57 for an absa property which the seller refused to sign. Absa informed us to ask for our full refund from the said company. Meree Scholtz was provided with all the documents that our bank gave from overseas as proof of payment. We waited another 7 days when Meree Scholtz ignored our requests until we emailed again, threatening to take the matter up. Only then did she respond, still insisting that she needs more documents and would not give back our refund until we provide evidence of payment. We went back to our UK bank and asked if they have anymore documents that they can provide as proof. The overseas bank reiterated that what we gave Meree Scholtz was legitimate and there was no more document that they can give us. We finf this company to be in breach of our agreement and we want our money back. We stand to lose other properties if they come by coz Meree and Velile Tinto Lawyers have held on to our money since October.we find Meree to be very unprofessional .incompentent, and unscrupulous. ABSA bank should not be dealing with these people as they are cheats. Everybody needs to know not to trust these lawyers, especially this Meree Scholtz. She is very ignorant.
