I have a voluntary call limit places on my cell phone, this is to ensure I never use too much data. For the last three month Vodacom have soft locked my line in the middle of the month for no reason. The back office to the call centre have twice acknowledged that they can see the soft lock SMS was sent to me despite me having data, minutes and SMSes available. The call centre agents constantly tell me that my line is not in fact locked when I cannot make calls.

I have received 3 messages telling me it has been sent to the network for investigation and I should expect a call in 24 hours. Well that was on Monday at 4pm.By my calculation 84 hours ago and I have not heard a peep.

All I want is an explanation. I would like to keep the call limit in place as it helps me keep track of my rather exorbitant bill but not at the risk of being held hostage. The last time this happened I was in a shopping centre and realised too late that I did not have my purse with me, I had no way of calling for help, who's to say next time it won't be a more dangerous situation.
