Voucher Sara Spa unredeemable and refund not paid

My son purchased a Sara Spa Voucher for me from Groupon for Christmas for R1, 000.. I had until June to redeem it and decided to book for my daughter and I to have a morning's treatment. When I called the number on the voucher I was told that they had gone out of business and to call Groupon for a refund. I have called them three times. The first time they tried to persuade me to take another of their options to which I responded that we wanted the refund in cash, they said my son should send through his banking details which he did. When nothing further happened I called on Friday and was told that the money had been deposited into his account and of course you guessed it nothing happened! This morning I called again as this time they asked for my e-mail address and said they would be in contact with me by e-mail... and nothing happened. The user Id no is 133317316 Voucher 0020184UL7 REF 14908533 SECURITY CODE 5AFCA59703. Apparently they only respond on this web site. Surely this should be looked into by SA Consumer Council as we need protection against this. because its basically.
