Yes, i made a mistake, but you can help

My wife recently made a booking to fly to Tanzania via SAA. During the booking process she made a critical error, she put in her married surname instead of her maiden name which is till in her passport document.
This was her mistake, however, when she realised the error, she immediately called SAA help line and informed them of the error. They told her that there is nothing that they could do, she would have to cancel that booking and rebook in her maiden name and pay the full price of the ticket again

I find this to be highly unreasonable, as she has documentation to prove that she infact had just made a mistake. SAA refused to assist and still refuse to assist.

When i called SAA i was told by one of the managers that this is an effor that occurs frequently. The cowt of the ticket was over 7000 rands, who can afford to make that kind of mistake and then just simply book another ticket and pay again.

I am sorry, this is, please assist in resolving this matter and let us make sure that they change their policy, this is a mistake that is going to be made again and i do not want others to be treated in the same way.
