For the nth time I have made contact with the Vodacom call center. What is always interesting is the BS story just to placate you at first and get their stats up.
For 5 years the people in the area of Zebra Lodge, without exception, have been complaining about bad signal and for 5 years the planning department has made empty promises. The operator this evening told me I am the only one who has registered a call about the bad signal!
I use the K4510z modem which, apparently uses only 3G as per its setting. The modem is in direct line of sight of the tower, within 600m, but only get 4 bars if lucky. Now wait for it! 3G stays up for 10 seconds on average and drops for 20 and it takes approx 20 seconds to get reconnected.
there is never an satisfactory explanation from the call centers and planning department clearly doesn't exist as, after 60 months, they would be able to determine when this would be rectified and provide feedback.
Vodacom, your response to the problems at Zebra Lodge are more than just dismal over many years!!
All the lodges and many businesses run from homes here but we cannot run them effectively with Vodacom!!
