Mtn
Expired contract

Telecommunications

Dear Sir/Madam,
I received a statement on the 1st of June 2013 showing an amount of R 389.00. On inquiring as to what this amount could be I was told by the consultant that my 2 year contract has expired and that I am now being billed the full amount. When I inquired from the consultant how I can be billed for a no-existent contract she said I must read the T&C's. and that I had to give 20 days notice to cancel the non-existent contract. The consultant gave me the in-correct information as per the consumer act the 20 days notice period applies to an existing contract. Mtn had to notify me 80 to 40 days before the expiry date that the contract was about to expire - this was not done as I did not receive any notification. Please reverse the R 389.00 which I was billed for illegally. I also receive another invoice on the 14 June for a further R 389.00. Please also reverse this invoice as I do not owe you anything.
Your early reply will be appreciated.

Thanking you

Willie
