Expired contract and still billed for it

I had a contract previously with MTN and it expired on the 22 December (0739709744) and took out a totally new one (0710738133) for my wife, I dnt have a problem paying the one I took last but paying for expired contract is a huge problem and I explained to the consultant who helped Me that I need the first to be cancelled, can mtn pls refund me for the entire billed amount since contract expired.
