NO NOTICE

Telecommunications

My contract expired on the 19th October 2013, but I was not given any notice. The contract is still active and the amount has changed from R88.00 to R150.00. According to the consumer law, 40-80 days notice must be given to the individual consumer about the expiry and tell the consumer about any changes that would apply to any renewal of the agreement, and that they have the option to end it on the expiry date or they may be able to renew the agreement for a further fixed term. No such notice was given to me and neither was I informed about the additional cost, I do not want to go ahead with the contract. This is unacceptable... I will not pay, MTN has renewed this contract without my consent.
