I am a regular customer at Pick 'n pay Canal walk and i have been for a while now concerned about the attitude of the checkout staff as when myself as a customer approaches a till the cashiers hardly greet some do not at all. Last night Monday 10 June 2013 was however the climax when i went and shopped for a few items i went to the till of Phelela Mangoloti, there was a customer infront of me whom was almost done so i unpacked my things onto the till area, i asked my partner to go exchange an item as the packet was broken and by the time i turned towards the cashier again she had rung my items together with that of the customer before me. THis happened because the packer and casher was having their own conversation while busy with the customer and not focusing. When i and the other customer raised the matter and a supervisor came Ms. Mangoloti rolled her eyes and laughed then made a remark" is this now my fault". Although the supervisor apologized i want to ask is this the type of service of Pick 'n pay i can expect? The cashier rang my things but threw my items into a bag. No apology. I paid and left the shop. It is really disappointing.
