BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Today I bought a few items at Pick n Pay Liberty Promenade Mall including a R20 piece of cheese. After leaving the store I checked my parcel only to find that the cheese was not packed in my carry bag but it reflected on my till slip. I went back to inform the cashier & packer & claimed that no cheese was left behind. I informed the supervisor who then checked the CCTV cameras without inviting me. She then went directly to the packer, whispered something to the packer & then turned to me to explain that the footage shows the packer had packed the cheese in my parcel yet in the same breath she offered to replace the cheese. Never in my life had I felt so disgusted and belittled. I felt like a without anything! Why was I not shown the footage as evidence knowing I was right? Why would the supervisor replace the cheese if it was packed in my bag? Nobody bothered to offer an apology or acknowledge that they had been at fault. I understand that items can get mixed up while at the till but I feel as if the Supervisor is covering for the packer. I would never make a big fuss if they at least took the time to apologize for human error. What happened to good customer service?
