Glenwood Spar usually has the friendliest & most polite cashier/packing staff of all the Spar's I visit. It was with extreme disappointment that I landed at Lydia's till this morning. We had 3 items to ring up - during the course of ringing up our items she stopped twice to exchange cash notes with other cashiers, and once to have a conversation with another staff member. She then asked if we wanted a packet, to which we answered yes, but was so busy with her conversation she totalled our purchases without adding the packet. When reminding her that we'd said "yes" to the packet, she looked at us blankly and then rang it up without any apology.

I understand that cashiers might need to speak to other staff or exchange cash notes, but please do it IN BETWEEN customers and not whilst busy with a customer. How rude - and remember that one bad apple spoils the whole bushel. I trust that Spar will ensure that this staff member is spoken to and confirm to me that this has been done.
