My wife bought a decoder on the 13th of December 2013, it was finally installed (after numerous calls, smms and emails on the 22nd. After spending in excess of R 100 ion airtime I finally reached a consultant of Multichoice to have our R 99 a month package activated. I expected a pro -rata December payment to be levied as I indicated that our monthly payments would be made on the 26th of every month. Lo and behold... the consultant informed we that we would not be charged for the four days and our sim was activated with the understanding that we would pay our subs on the 26th. on the 24th it was deactivated. Called them, it was reactivated but with a reconnection penalty and usage levy to be paid on the 26th. on the morning of 26th... disconnected again. Called again... R100 bucks airtime... listening to jingles .. tried to pay at their agents .. system offline. Today my wife calls, explain the situation, they INSIST she pay the amount of R 215, 50 or else they won, t reactivate. Am I supposed to pay a R115 penalty for multichoice poor service? Should I have opted for the OVHD? And dont bother trying to call the customer care lines unless you have at least a 100 bucks airtime!
