I have a Funeral Plan through Clientele Life. My dad passed away on the 21st December 2013. Due to it being the festive season, there was a delay in getting the Death Certificate as this could only be issued once the post mortem results were released to the funeral home. Then there was a delay from the department side in issuing the death certificate. All that aside, I emailed clientele on the 21st to inform them of my dad's passing. I knew I would not be able to claim due to me not having the death certificate yet. So I made alternate arrangements to get a loan to give my dad a dignified funeral on the 22nd December 2014. I received sms's from clientele and an email with a life claim form that needed to be completed and certified, they requested death certificate, my id, my dad's id, letter from doctor. I have emailed this through on Saturday 25th January 2014, I received a call and sms on Monday stating they assessing the claim. It is now Thursday the 30th January 2014. No feedback and definitely no 24 HOUR PAYOUT. They even debited me twice this month. This is a bit ridiculous. During mourning you have to stress about this too.
