6 weeks and still no feedback on hail damage claim

On the 11th of November 2013 my roof was damaged by the sever hailstorm on the East Rand. On 15 November I receive a sms notifying me of the assessors. On 21 November the assessors do the assessment. Numerous calls later (where I have to hold on for ages and I am then transferred to Gauteng North and get the IVR message "none of our consultants are available, please hold on for the next available consultant" - and 15 minutes later I have to put down cause I can't afford the phone call that long (0860 is a share call so you pay for half of the call)).

Today, 03 January 2014, I call 086 010 0876 again and a very helpful man by the name of Vaughn actually gives me the name of the claims supervisor and his direct number and then transfers me to Gauteng North. Again, no answer! I call the supervisor's number - again, no answer.

If I slip, fall and damage my back even further due to the rain streaming through my STEEL ceilings, is ABSA going to pay for my medical bills?

They have been so good in the past, I don't know what the happened to them! They need to go learn from First For Women how to handle claims, because they are excellent!!
