Very poor service & unacceptab? le turn around time

I reported for a household claim in Dec 2013, Claim number: xxxxx.
Subsequent to this an assessor was appointed and did the assessment around 7th Jan.

Since then I have called ABSA claims call centre (0860 302 011) on following progress on the claim x5 times (i.e. 1-2 times a week), and every time I'm told that this will be notified to a claims consultant and that I'll receive a call back on the status on this. No consultant has called to date.

The urgency for processing the claim, is that the claim was related to a collapsing ceiling related to water/rain damage. The ceiling has not collapsed yet as I had to temporarily install wooden pillars (and seal the roof myself) to hold the weigh of the collapsing ceiling as to prevent further damage to the wooden floors and of are risk on collapsing and causing injury to myself, wife & children. I'm not sure how long these pillars are going to hold.

Also the waiting times for reaching a call centre agent is unacceptable, on each occasion I have waited between 20-65 minutes on hold/in the queue, to receive basically non-existent service.

Also I have requested for call backs, none received to date.
