Smart Insurance RIPS OFF the public - steer clear!

I was sold the so-called BMW cosmetic and minor damages cover when I bought my car in Jan 2012. Filed a claim last month (May '13) based on photos and a quotation from a panel beater recommended by Smart Insurance. Today I find out that the claim has been rejected on the basis it exceeds the amount of R2000! Firstly, I had to phone and follow up on this claim TWICE before I heard the outcome! Not once, in the period of almost a month did the company ever get hold of me. They claim to have called and send SMS but I reject this as pure untruths as I have no record of same. Secondly, there is no time that the salesperson made it clear to me about the claim limit on this cover. Any fool knows that a paint job on a BMW X3 is highly unlikely to be cheaper than R2000. Why would I have bought this insurance knowing this? I think that Smart Insurance is a pure RIP OFF!! They sell their products to the unsuspecting public knowing fully well that they have no intention to pay. THIS IS TANTAMOUNT TO!!! The Ombudsman had better take a close look at this company and all its associates, e.g., BMW because I would not have heard about Smart Insurance were it not for BMW.
