So, I lost my passport in Amsterdam (still here) and had to cancel both my flight back to South Africa and put my Kulula flight on hold until I had rebooked my return flights and confirmed a date. I got in touch with [Email Removed] for assistance and they said that they would create a travel bank where the credit ticket funds would be kept as long as I could supply them with a letter from the South African consulate in the Netherlands. I asked the consulate this and was told that they do not write/supply letters for any organisation that isn't governmental. Fine. I relayed this to [URL Removed] and was told that a letter from the police station should suffice. Fine. So I ask the police for assistance and I am told that they do not deal with cases like this and it's not in their jurisdiction or interest. Last week Monday (14 October) I send [Email Removed] another mail asking if there's anything else I could do as it's getting close to my departure date and I still don't have domestic flights booked (ticket price are soon going to skyrocket and I'll be). Since then I've received very little comms from kulula and I'm about to lose my mind and book a ticket with SAA!
