Against CPA

Traveling & Tourism

I have a domestic airline ticket booked through Kulula on a BA flight which I need to cancel as I have in the mean time won an educational trip to France and will no longer be able to make the flight to Johannesburg for my holiday as previously planned. According to Section 17 of the CPA the consumer has a right to cancel a reservation, booking or order for goods and a reasonable cancellation fee may be imposed by the supplier. I do not regard 100% of my airline ticket as a "reasonable cancellation fee" and would kindly like an explanation of how [URL Removed] is getting away with breach of the CPA? I understand that people cannot cancel flights left and right and I would be happy to simply be awarded the option of paying an additional admin fee in order to carry over this ticket to my father's name for another date as he will be able to use it, but [URL Removed] does not allow this. It is very frustrating and disgusting to see how airlines are getting away with money from their customers.
