Last month SAA check-in kept my bag back while i waited in line watching a chappies chewing cow talk on the phone to pay for a overweight bag, my bag never made it onto my flight, i missed a connecting flight because of it and an important meeting, not to mention had to pay for a new connecting flight, thanks you fools. Then last week i waited at gate 23 for a flight then was told to goto 14, and then after 40 min again to 24. Four flights were delayed and the gate area was packed, i found seating near one of the large screens and watched it like a hawk, when the word delayed turned to boarding i gotup and walked to the gate about 40 m away, to find a Ausie lady and my self there being told it has already boarded and we were offloaded, no boarding announcements made at all. We proceeded to the transfer desk and were told since it was only two of us it must have been our fault and not the airlines so we would not be given any accommodation vouchers and R2900 for a new connecting flight. SAA takes no responsibility as we were wrong apparently, here a link to SAA's response at the gate as to boarding announcements.
