Our flight BA6236 was to leave PE airport at 18:05 on 31 April. We received an sms stating that our flight had been delayed to 19:00 however, we had already left from Knysna and needed to give our rental car back. When we arrived, there was no movement at the check-in counters. We waited about an hour to be told that our flights were cancelled due to the weather (we heard that the landing systems were actually dysfunctional). No PA systems were used and orders were shouted at us. We were given accommodation for the night, however, we had to organise our own transport and food. We were told to check in the next day at 13:30. When we arrived, the check-in staff couldn't find our flight on the system. We then found out that our flight had been further delayed to 16:40. It took half an hour to check in our bags and our tickets were not reprinted but the new info hand written. This posed a problem at the boarding gate later on. The assistant was also constantly on the phone. Our flight was delayed again to 17:00. Not a single apology was made and no announcements or smses were sent again. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Our friend also has a one year old that was waiting for her in JHB.
