I was on a Business trip in JHB last week. I was due to leave on Friday 10 May 2013 on flight SA357 @ 17:00.
When I reached the boarding gate E1, I was told that my ticket was not valid. They also told me that I had left on the 13:00 flight that day, which was obviously impossible as I was standing right there with my colleagues who were also booked on the same flight. I was then told to return to the SAA ticket office to have them sort out the issue. The female at the ticket office, I cant remember her name investigated and found that someone else was on the 13:00 flight with my ticket. I produced my boarding pass as well as my travel itinerary to validate that I was booked on flight SA357 to depart at 17:00 from JHB airport on 10 May 2013. I was then issued another ticket on flight SA356 for 18:45 My complaint and issue that I have with SAA is that how is it possible that something like this could happen. That someone could board the aircraft with my ticket - . What identification did this individual produce to the SAA staff at the boarding gate. In my mind this whole incident constitutes.
