Unacceptably long hold time

I booked a ticket on travelstart but unfortunately missed my flight. Happy to pay for an amended ticket, I went to the comair counter where the ladies were extremely friendly and keen to assist. Unfortunately, they couldn't access the ticket to effect the change and process the payment so I was I advised to call travelstart as the booking agent. Travelstart reception indicated they'd put me through to 'urgent amendments'-what a joke! To make things worse, there was a queue of 3 other people at the comair counter holding for travelstart for up to 30mins! After a 25min hold I was put back through to reception and told they would get someone to call me back 'immediately' (I'm still waiting). I was told by the airline that tickets are cancelled 30 mins after departure, but despite the fact that I tried calling them 10mins before departure (which should have given me 40mins to amend my ticket), the unacceptably long hold and lack of callback resulted in my loss of tickets and having to fork out another 5k for new tickets. What use is having a great online platform, without the necessary customer support capacity?! its absolutely unacceptable
