Return Flight from Eastern Europe Null and Void!!!

I booked a flight to Eastern Europe using an online travel agent: Travelstart. They are disallowing me my return flight from eastern europe because I missed my Durban-Jhb connection (nationl flight). I had bought another internal flight ticket and made my international on time. Now they tell me my return ticket is null and void as the internal connection reflects "unused" and I should buy another ticket for R10, 000 and attempt a refund after. They refuse to contact Lufthansa who have informed me that only Travelstart may make the status change. This transpired when Travelstart suggested I do the running around myself. Do you believe it?! I'm stuck in Europe with no finance left. DO NOT USE TRAVELSTART. I am spreading this news on all social platforms and consumer watch sites! People beware of this online flight/travel agent. Do not use them!!! And their email communication (responses) take 24 hours. My husband in SA and myself in Eastern Europe have now battled with this dilemma for over a week.
