This morning someone from Vodacom's call centre phoned me and thanked me for being a loyal customer, and then after asking me which phone I had, offered me free insurance on my phone.

The problem is that I have more than one contract with Vodacom and am actually already paying for insurance on my phone under one of my other contracts, so it makes no sense for Vodacom to offer me "FREE" insurance when I am actually paying for it under one of my other contracts.

After telling the consultant that I am paying for insurance on one of my other contracts, the phone went quiet and then after about 5 minutes she just disconnected, wasting my time.

Its this kind of spam and incompetence that makes me regret joining Vodacom. Fortunately my contract is almost due for an upgrade so I can switch away from Vodacom to a network that has people working for them who at least have a matric and are able to spell their own names.
