Vodacom
Losing contract minutes

Telecommunications

I am long overdue for an upgrade (6 months) on my existing contract. I am currently on a Talk 500 contract including 180 "free" minutes. Eventually, I want to upgrade, but was unpleasantly surprise that Vodacom has decided, in order to upgrade to their new contracts that I will (without choice):

1. forfeit my free minutes
2. not able to export my current minutes on my existing contract to their new contracts. This is minutes that I paid for every month. The attitude is either use it before upgrade or loose it. Don't bother us with your minutes. This seems I am being rip off and must smile and pay!

Furthermore, not being able to offer my a reduced rate on my contract for using the existing handset (not at free will). Good customer service! Vodacom is making an unfair profit out of me and once again smile and pay!

They also have a very good closed door approach as you can not discuss this with anyone except their famous call centre, which is fairly close to useless.

So, once again it seems Vodacom doesn't have any system identify loyal clients and why should they? This is the norm in our country.
Definitely not a happy Vodacom client.
