I am very upset with Vodacom!! My cell phone was out of my vehicle and I applied for a claim. The claim was rejected as my Vodacom sim card was not in the phone but in another phone. When I enquired about the rejection, I was told that the insurance I took out with my contract only covers the phone when my Vodacom sim card is in the phone. If I knew from the start that I took out the insurance that only covers the phone when the sim card is used in that particular phone, I would never have taken your insurance!! But, now that I know after my phone has been, I can get the insurance amended to be able to use another sim card in the phone and still be covered. Clearly some of your employees do not bother to explain the types of insurance to a customer. So to me it seems that I am paying R79 per month for a sim card?! I do not mind paying extra for insurance, just to use another sim card. No one bothered to tell me that the insurance can be amended for that purpose. Now my phone is and I don't have a business phone. I am unhappy about the way the consultants from the claims department handled the situation. Why am I paying insurance then and still with Vodacom???
