I was led to believe, by a chap named Mduduzi at the Northgate mtn store, that he had updated details for the OneX when I received it as an upgrade in-store. He specifically asked me if I wanted the same insurance after which we had a long discussion about how important insurance is these days. I asked more than once if there was anything else I needed to do and he assured me that all I had to do further was enjoy the handset. I spent 17 hours in the store I upgraded at one week, sent the same info (IMEI, ID, phone, contract, claim form) no less than 13 times to mtn staff. The damaged handset was collected by a person called Thato who wore a Managers badge, he assured me that I would have a handset within 2 weeks. We were told that mtn was going to sort this at their expense, when this didn't happen Nkululeko assured me that I would indeed receive a replacement handset but that it would take some time as he could not find one in Gauteng. He then told me that one had been found in Cape Town andthat I would just have to wait as there is a process that had to be followed. I then received an sms from Nkululeko saying "Good day Sir, Your phone will be here Monday, latest Tuesday. NOPHONE!!!
