In October 2011 I upgraded to a Blackberry 9900, in January 2013 the handset started giving me endless problems. As it was still under warranty I took it to an MTN store in my area for repairing. After about two weeks of waiting they phoned me to let me know that my handset is ready for collection. When I got there the manager was there and he helped me. I specifically asked if the handset was repaired or replaced, while he was busy inserting my battery he smiled and said the handset is a replacement. Even on my documents it said that the handset was replaced. The IMEI numbers changed. A few days later I had to take my battery out and noticed the small sticker at the back "refurbished" so my handset was replaced by a repaired broken handset. But because the handset was not giving me any problems, I left it at that.
In May 2013 I this replacement handset is giving me problems. So I take it back to the same MTN shop. A few days later I receive an SMS stating I have to pay R2220.00 in order for my phone to be reapired/replaced. This handset is still under warranty is it not? The phone was replaced and that is why cannot match the IMEI numbers.
