31 March 2013 I went to the MTN store at Cresta Shopping Centre to upgrade my existing contract. They didn't have stock of the handset I wanted. The consultant said that he would place an order and the handset would be available for collection on 02/04. I returned to the store on 03/04. Still no stock but he would take my number (they don't have this info on record?!) and call once the stock had arrived. I'm still waiting for his call. I then went to the MTN Cosmonet also at Cresta. I was told they had the handset in stock but my contract first needed to be migrated from voice to data. Apparently, this could take up to 7 working days. 10/04 I called the call centre to be told that the migration request was cancelled. After holding for just over an hour I was assured that everything was in order and I needed to return to the store. 11/04, back to Cresta. Got the handset and was advised that the migration would take a further 2-3 days. Called on 17/04/2013 and again on 18/04/2013 as the number is blocked because it needs to be RICA'd. Was told on both occasions that the RICA issue would be dealt with. A full week later I still can't use the handset!!! Should I cancel my debit order?
