The issue started back in November. We have a corporate account manager and when I started speaking and emailing regarding this issue the problem was familiar. A replacement phone was not available and I was referred to another store where I left my details on more than one occasion. All the while, corresponding with the store where our account was held. In the new year I tried again. Eventually in frustration I found a replacement phone and when I took the phone in, I was told that it was 2 days out the Apple warranty despite the contract with Vodacom being for two years. After a full month of being sent from pillar to post, Vodacom not returning my calls, the pronouncement was made by the Apple Dr, that the handsent was Beyond Economic repair. In frustration I eventually, insisted on dealing with the manager and franchisee. To no avail and it was explained to me that Vodacare was seperate and I should take the issue up with them. To the customer and consumer the Vodacom brand is one and the perception similarly formed. I have been met with a lack of accountability for the issue and and little consideration for the inconvenience this has caused. Unimpressed.
