I renewed my contract with Vodacom on the 28th of February. I was extremely happy with my Blackberry Curve, so opted to take another Blackberry. There were two Bold models on offer. I was advised to take the 9790, as the other model had poor battery use. When I started using the phone, various things were wrong. I wrote it down to the fact that it was a new phone and I needed to get used to it. Quite a few people are experiencing the same problems. Clearly a model issue not a repair issue. My contract is a month old, I am not going to struggle for another 23 months with a problem phone (battery dies by 2 or 3 in the afternoon, cannot hear phone, too soft, cutting off calls, etc.. Vodacom must give me another phone. The store manager wants to have it repaired... it is not broken!!! Call Centre keeps referring me to the store, store refers to CC. A family member has gone through THREE bolds... I am not prepared to do this.
This is unacceptable. After being a Vodacom customer for 15 years, I am prepared to cancel my contract and move to another supplier... nobody seems to care about this. I would like somebody to respond to this. I will be laying a complaint with the Consumer P Act
